In addition to his editorial responsibilities, he was instrumental in developing MyGolfSpy's data-driven testing methodologies and continues to sift through our data to find the insights that can help improve your game. I was afraid the 90 compression would be too hard but, it still feels soft and sounds good off the clubs. It will be awesome to opt for a premium ball if you want good distance, forgiveness, and performance.

They’re cheap, meaning you don’t have to worry as much about losing them, and they have low compression, meaning they’re suitable for low swing speeds. If you aren’t fully satisfied with your Cut purchase within 30 days of receipt, we will gladly work with you to ensure you are satisfied. You’ll see that all of these golf ball brands, with one exception that I’ll note below, see themselves as competitors to the likes of the ProV1 and company, but at about 50% to 75% of the cost. For me, the Duo Spin Urethane has the softest feel but quickly discolors and is not similar in length. If you’re hunting for golf balls to save cash, then Cut Golf makes it easy to try their whole lineup at a moderate cost. They paved the way for a host of other such brands, and continue to be very popular golf balls in their own right. I see many loyal Titleist followers who rarely make a purchase but ‘hunt’ for golf balls every round. The golf industry is filled with overpaid endorsement contracts, inflated marketing budgets, and misleading claims from manufacturers.

What we love about Cut Golf is that it’s very much an American brand, and the company has an entrepreneurial spirit, competing against some of the biggest brands in the industry. The new “Drip” color scheme available on their Pro and Pro Soft ball might make some purists dismiss it as gimmicky, but all dozens with the unique color schemes have sold out.

Predominantly, illegal balls are those that are self-correcting or have other gimmicks but Cut golf balls are very much designed with competition in mind. Still would love to see a Ball Lab of tour balls of different brands but made in the same ball plant. The Cut DC and Cut Grey balls are better suited to more experienced players, particularly those who are going after distance above greenside control.
