For years, I’ve dreamt of what college life could bring and while some things changed, there was always one constant. Goodreads Librarians are volunteers who help ensure the accuracy of information about books and authors in the Goodreads' catalog. The Goodreads Libra Goodreads Librarians are volunteers who help ensure the accuracy of information about books and authors in the Goodreads' catalog. The Goodreads Librarians Group is the official group for requesting additions or updates to the catalog, including: You wanna fight, get your self-doubt out, that’s fine. But you’re gonna do it with me, at my house, together.” His searing stare swings my way. “I refuse to let you push me away again.”

My mom always told me that these things don’t come easily, that you have to work for the love and the life you want. The hard parts are challenging, but we get through them, and everything else with you feels natural, and I… I want to work with you. I want to build a life we love.” Two childhood friends. Two broken hearts. One impromptu road trip to get away from everything. That’s all this was supposed to be. Afterall, I’ve been living in the friend zone for years now. What are you most afraid of?” “Falling,” she answers quietly and without hesitation. My thumb skates across her lower lip. “I’ll catch you.” “Promise?” Bringing her to me, I sear her with a kiss that feels every bit like a future I never knew I wanted. “Promise.” He is self-centered, arrogant, and the guy does not appear to know what a filter is, let alone how to use it. He has had everything served up on a silver platter, including a never ending series of women, and apparently Olivia’s next. His one problem? Olivia’s got no intention of falling for his shi… er, charm.Growing up, her ambition was to be able to create a dream world for readers to slip on into, a place to fall in love and escape, much like the ones that she had enjoyed getting lost in herself. There isn't really a plot, but if you love character-focused stories, you won’t even care! I think the characters will make or break the enjoyment of this story.

Rose: Regarding the Miranda Keneally books, I don’t think of YA novels as romances, even when the romance is what the plot centers on. The primary focus of YA thematically speaking is coming of age rather than finding true love. That makes the priorities of the authors different. The desirability of a central male character doesn’t always have to be stressed to the same degree in a YA (it’s not always a big part of what the reader will zero in on), and even when it does, it’s usually not framed in a “marriage material” / “eligible bachelor” way, so how popular a sport played by a main character who is also an athlete is, or how much money that character earns from their sporting career is isn’t as crucial either, unless that’s a primary focus of the plot. Eliza: Yes, that’s a big difference between Canada and the US and you have a good point about the authors. I didn’t think of it but you are right. Elle Kennedy is Canadian too I believe. Sarina Bowen is not, but she does live in New England which is cold and also very white. However, could this have been shortened? Yes, easily! I'm not a reader who thinks 'the longer, the better'. On the contrary, I feel like, especially in the Romance genre, it tends to be unnecessary and often even reduces my enjoyment of the story. I don’t want. I don’t want to wait because I don’t want a life where you’re not in it. My world only spins so beautifully because of the way you’ve opened my heart and made me feel like myself again.” I fell in love with you on this balcony. I fell in love with the way you slept peacefully next to the fire. I fell in love with the way you gazed with wonder at the sky, the millions of stars. I fell in love with the way you opened up to me, let me see you and let me show you me too. I fell in love with the way we laid here, your body wrapped in mine, all the times we’ve made love here, and when I asked you to make this house yours. I fell in love with you over and over again, and I keep doing it every single day, right here on this balcony.”

Janine: Sarina Bowen’s Gravity trilogy has a skier and several snowboarders. Miranda Kenneally’s YA books feature characters involved in all sorts of sports – football, softball, distance running, horse racing – though most are not at an elite level.

I gather that you got your start in fan fiction and/or on Wattpad and there’s a sense here of that feels-based episodic story common to those platforms. When she is not staring blankly at her computer screen or deleting almost two hundred occurrences of the word ‘just’ from her manuscript, she can be found teaching kindergarten in Ontario, Canada, and mom-ing with her beautiful and sweet young boy and her animals. Don’t cry, beautiful.” “I’m so sorry.” She gasps, swiping at her cheeks, turning her face away. “Hey.” Hooking a finger under her chin, I force her gaze to mine. “Your tears are not a weakness, so stop trying to hide them. Don’t be sorry for showing me how you feel. Being vulnerable with each other is how we learn to be the best versions of ourselves as partners. When you show me the type of love you need, I learn how to give it to you.” She’s like…waking up on Christmas morning when you’re three years old and you finally understand what it’s all about. She’s the moment the rain stops and the sun comes out, lighting up the sky with color, and everything smells new and fresh. She’s the first skate on a frozen lake, surrounded by snowy mountains and pine trees and the freshest breath of air. She’s rolling over in the middle of the night, pulling that warm body into yours and curling around it, and everything’s just right.”

All of these books you fall in love with every single person.. except the woman who shall not be named.. A secret friends-with-benefits arrangement with the coach’s daughter shouldn’t have a shot in the dark of leading to more… https://www.theatlantic.com/business/archive/2014/02/which-sports-have-the-whitest-richest-oldest-fans/283626/

Working as a nanny for the world’s grumpiest single dad should have been simple. Except I can’t keep my eyes off him. And he can’t keep his hands off of me. It was so cute how he fell head over heels for Olivia, and his inexperience in dating/committed relationships created some hilarious moments. DiscoDollyDeb: That’s an excellent point and probably true as well; since the population of the US is bigger than that of Canada, American readership probably is too. However I think that as with many things, there is more than one factor at work here. Each character is well rounded and fleshed out, and readers found themselves thinking they knew people like these characters. I don’t want to wait because I don’t want a life where you’re not in it. My world only spins so beautifully because of the way you’ve opened my heart and made me feel like myself again. I”An archery romance might be cool but I have zero interest in a novel-length romance focused on long-distance swimming (and swimming was my favorite sport when I was a kid!) or nordic combined. I barely remember what nordic combined is, LOL. However if it was an anthology of short stories or novellas and the author(s) were good, I would read them. Authors, if you are a member of the Goodreads Author Program, you can edit information about your own books. Find out how in this guide. I for one would love a niche sports anthology and I can’t believe nobody has done one as an Olympic tie-in). Eliza: I have a hard time thinking about reading Tamsen Parker books since she wrote about Orthodox Jewish characters experimenting with BDSM, which is terrible representation IMO. I keep thinking I should give her a shot since I’ve heard good things and her books sound good, but somehow that always gets in my way. Do me a favor,” Emmett says as we head into the bar in the lobby. It’s rammed and rowdy and I kinda don’t want to be here. “Remember how it looks to be surrounded by girls who throw themselves at you. Doing nothing isn’t enough. You have to actively do anything but nothing.”
