Description

Dimensions, weight and color Information about the dimensions and the weight of the specific model with and without stand as well as the colors, in which it is offered to the market. Width This technology requires an AMD FreeSync-compatible graphics card and it works within 40-144Hz/FPS (Frames Per Second) variable refresh rate range (VRR). Updated to Test Bench 1.2, resulting in changes to the results and scores with the Response Time and Input Lag. Added tests for Console Compatibility and macOS compatibility and made minor changes to other tests, which you can see in our Changelog.

Approximate height of the display. If the manufacturer does not provide such information, the height is calculated from the diagonal and the aspect ratio. This is a slight but notable improvement over the previous generation IPS displays of this caliber which have a peak brightness of 300-350 nits and a GtG (Gray to Gray pixel transition) response time of 4-5ms. The operating humidity shows the acceptable level of humidity, in which the display will function flawlessly. It sets a lower and an upper humidity level for safe operation and is measured in percentage. We tested the monitor with the PS5's new variable refresh rate feature and confirmed that it's not compatible, since the PS5 only supports HDMI Forum VRR. The only thing we don’t like about theASUS VG279Q is its low pixel density due to the rather low 1080p resolution for its 27″ screen. The operating temperature shows the safe temperature range (from minimum to maximum), within which the display will function flawlessly. Outside this range it might operate improperly and/or fail entirely. Ergonomics Information about the ergonomic functions - height adjustment, swivel angles, tilt angles, etc. VESA mount

The ASUS VG279Q 27″ 1080p 144Hz gaming monitor is based on an IPS panelby AU Optronics with a 400-nit peak brightness and a 3ms (GtG) response time speed. The most widely used panels are those with 6, 8, and 10 bits for each of the RGB components of the pixel. They provide 18-, 24-, and 30-bit color, respectively. The percentage of the approximate area, taken by the active part of the screen, to the total front area. This means that the picture is somewhat pixelated on this display whereas a 24″ or 25″ version of the monitor would have sharper and clearer details. There are various panel technologies. Each has its own specific features - viewing angles, color reproduction, response time, brightness/contrast, production cost, etc. The image quality depends directly on the type of the display panel used.

Additionally, LFC(Low Framerate Compensation) is supported which will ensure a smooth performance even south of 40 frames per second. Information about the maximum vertical viewing angle, within which the image on the screen is of acceptable quality. TheASUS VG279Q input lag performance is very good as well amounting to around 4ms which makes the monitor easily fit for professional competitive gaming. Size class of the display as declared by the manufacturer. Often this is the rounded value of the actual size of the diagonal in inches.

The storage humidity shows the lower and upper humidity limit, which ensures safe storage of the display. Storing it outside these limits might damage the display. The storage temperature shows the range from a minimum to a maximum temperature, within which storing of the display is considered to be safe. While the ASUS VG279Q offers brilliant performance as well as vibrant colors and wide viewing angles, there are better alternatives at this price range. Specifications Screen Size The ASUS VG279Q is a 1080p 144Hz IPS gaming monitor with AMD FreeSync, a rapid response time speed and a fully ergonomic design. Image Quality

EXTREME LOW MOTION BLUR SYNC

Created for intense, fast-paced games, ASUS VG279Q is a 27” Full HD gaming IPS display that boasts an ultra-fast 1ms (MPRT) response time and blazing 144Hz refresh rate to give you super-smooth gameplay. Plus, with Adaptive-Sync (FreeSync™) technology this eliminates screen-tearing The 3ms (GtG) response time speed is more than enough for a smooth fast-paced gaming experience without prominent ghosting and motion blur.

Other features include the standard bells and whistles found on ASUS gaming displays such as GamePlus (crosshairs, timers and an FPS counter), GameVisual (FPS, RTS, Racing, RPG, MOBA, sRGB, Cinema, Scenery picture presets) and Shadow Boost for better visibility of objects in dark areas of games. The ASUS VG279Q 1080 144Hz IPS monitor is also equipped with AMD FreeSync/Adaptive-Syncsupport which allows the monitor to change its refresh rate dynamically thus eliminating all screen tearing and stuttering with basically no input lag cost. Adaptive-sync also works with NVIDIA GTX 10-series and RTX 20-series GPUs (and newer) without any issues on this monitor. Basically, you get a response time performance that’s on par with TN models in addition to having vibrant colors and wide viewing angles of 178 degrees horizontally and vertically. Information about whether the stand can be dismounted. Usually, this is required for wall mounting.

Incredibly Fast 280 Hz Refresh Rate

Approximate width of the display. If the manufacturer does not provide such information, the width is calculated from the diagonal and the aspect ratio. Information about the maximum horizontal viewing angle, within which the image on the screen is of acceptable quality. The maximum number of colors, which the display is able to reproduce, depends on the type of the panel in use and color enhancing technologies like FRC. The ratio between the horizontal and the vertical side of the display. Some of the standard and widely used aspect ratios are 4:3, 5:4, 16:9 and 16:10.
