Hallowed Martyrs- Be like Our Martyred Lady, getting +1 to Hit when under Starting Strength. A good trait, making your units potentially more powerful if they aren’t outright destroyed, but again is useless for units with only single models.

If every model in an INFANTRY unit is on or in an Area Terrain feature with this trait, then it can either Hold Steady or it can Set to Defend (see below) when an enemy unit declares a charge against it. Junith Eruita is a unique HQ choice for the Adepta Sororitas, and bears the fabled Mace of Castigation. She is flanked by burning braziers and the pulpit she rides in is equipped with a pair of heavy flamers – those heretics aren’t going to burn themselves! Moment of Grace- After you make a Hit, Wound or Save for a SORORITAS model, spend 1 CP and then up to 2 Miracle Dice, adding 1 to the result for each Dice you spend. Fantastic if you fail a by a single pip of the dice as this is far more reliable than a Command Reroll, or to help offset negatives.After their revival in late 8th edition, the Adepta Sororitas – better known as the Sisters of Battle – have become a mainstay of the 40k scene, with some very successful lists in both 8th and 9th editions. Today we’re taking a look at their 10th edition index to see how their unique playstyle has translated across to the new edition. Conviction of Faith- Reroll 1s on your Miracle Dice. Pretty useful to avoid those pesky low numbers, this can help ensure you don’t get stung with consistent poor Miracle Dice. Martyr’s Immolation- An IMMOLATOR with Flamers auto explodes. Given these are often deep in enemy lines, it’s not a bad use of the CP, especially if near a weakened unit or enemy Character. Can also be used to kill units of your own in the conflagration, if it will free up an enemy unit to be shot at by the rest of your army. I’ve got three games under my belt so far, with a 750 point list I used in a team tournament. A Valorous Heart castle fits my preferred play style well. Holy Smokescreen- Smokescreen, but with extra incense and High Gothic chanting! Granting a tank a -1 to Hit can help offset their general frailty in 9th edition, though by no means a guarantee, but useful if there are only a few threatening weapons to worry about.

The Litanies of Faith makes a return, allowing you to reroll 1 Miracle Dice in your Command phase, 3 dice if the bearer has lost any wounds or is leading a unit below Half Strength. Has big potential, better dice is always good and unlike Saintly Example this is something your character can just do that gets better if damaged, instead of requiring them to be dead. Select a wash color that complements the base color, like Nuln Oil. Using a small detail brush, apply the wash to the recessed areas and crevices on the model, such as the gaps between armor plates. This will create shadows and add depth. Allow it to dry completely. Penitent Engines return with max unit sizes of 2, much like Mortifiers. They have a 5+++ and a 4+ save, still with 5 wounds like 9th. They must have Penitent flamers, no heavy bolters here and the buzz-blade and flails are the same as Mortifiers. They can still advance and charge, which is always great on a unit that moves 8″. These still look dangerous.Litany of Deeds : This model gains an ability (see below) depending on which tale it is recounting. At the start of the battle, before the first turn begins, you must select one tale from the following list for this model to recount, and make a note of it on your army roster. You cannot select a tale that another model from your army is already recounting unless all three tales are being recounted by models from your army. Until the end of the battle, this model has the ability associated with that tale. Holy Wrath- The Bloody Rose Starter Set, giving the AP boost in the first round of combat. As with them, it helps your melee units really punch through armour, and even helps to make your humble Battle Sister sneak the occasional wound through.
