I either have had to disconnect the headset and turn it on again to solve or sometimes when I turn the volume wheel way up on the headset it seems to work also. This is strange as the volume wheel has not been adjusted after playing and turning off form last session. Reset the firmware on your headphonesNo buzzing, just a white light and didn't pair with the console when I powered on. Holding power/mute/etc doesn't seem to do anything (as indicated in the OP). On an iOS device or Android device: Open the Surface app, then tap Account > Surface Headphon es > Device information. After that, select Reset your Surface Headphones> Reset now to confirm. When headset is on, if I press the power button once the headset does not seem to turn off. If I hold the power button until I hear a tone. Usually this is about 3 seconds. It says the headset is disconnected from Xbox however I get a flashing white LED light on the headset, same as when you hold the power button for 10 seconds to do initial pairing with Xbox. This flashing light does not seem to turn off.

I have a SS Arctis 7 headset which I use on my laptop. It's been working perfectly fine up untill a few days ago. I have been experiencing freezing/stuttering of youtube videos / twitch streams and no audio from discord / games. On a Windows 10/11 PC: Open the Surface app, then select Surface Headphones> Device information. Under Factory reset, select Reset now, and then select Reset now to confirm.Press and hold the power button (#3 in the diagram below) for 20 seconds until you hear that your headphones have been reset to the factory defaults. If you're having problems with your Surface Headphones, you can reset them to the original factory settings or reset their firmware. The type of reset you should use depends on what kind of problem you're having.
So I started charging them via a wall charger. The LED flashed yellow a few times and then stopped. Normally obviously it stays yellow while it is charging. I saw a few other people note this behavior as well. I then turned on my Xbox, and then turned on the headset. It connected to the Xbox but was not assigned to my account automatically as before. I went into the Devices > Accessories and manually re-assigned it to my account and they are working. The no audio output and stuttering/freezing of videos only happens when the audio output "Headphone (Arctis 7 Game)" is selected. Plug the USB cable into your Windows 10/11 PC or into a USB power adapter (not included) for a wall outlet.
