I finished it ends with us a few months ago, and i kinda liked it especially the ending because it was the best decision. I didnt like lily’s personality in the beginning because it was weak, but when the ending came i felt relieved because it felt like she had progressed and made me feel like she is stronger now. The ending was good and it should’ve stopped right there, i liked it because it left us to imagine what will happen next. And maybe someday, Sydney’s mysterious longing and insane desire for Ridge will be transformed into something deeper. He discovers his muse in her at last. They built a world where two high schoolers, Silas and Charlie, have to remember literally everything, not only their kisses. The narrator of the novella is Daniel this time. It’s definitely a must-read after you finish “Finding Cinderella”. Wrapped up in Christmas, the story is more than just sentimental and touching. It ends with us was about Lily and her journey to end the cycle of abuse. It starts with Us is about Lily and Atlas navigating life after ending their own cycles.

Be warned: it contains the scenes of graphic violence (like depicted murder and rape) and is recommended for an 18+ audience. a sequel, which is an outright romance, being written to a book (marketed as a romance which is so gross) about domestic abuse really throws me off. Doesn’t Morgan deserve to be happy too and can she find some understanding from her teenage daughter? Colleen Hoover manages to steal your concentration with her writing style, the humor, and the maturity of the characters. The agents of large publishing houses are starting to take a closer look at self-publishing sales. These are indicators of trends and have led to a new category for publishers to consider, that of young adult romance fiction.

I feel like Colleen Hoover is a hit or a miss for people. I would say give this one a try! It was very good, fast read. After that cliffhanger in Part 2, it will be torturing to postpone reading the third novel in the series. And the story feels absolutely surreal. Hoover does a great job of (at least per my own experience) depicting some of Lily’s feelings/ inner thoughts, etc. in regards to being a domestic abuse survivor. It stays with you. i dont think the second book was necessary tbh. And the only thing i liked about ( it starts with us ) was atlas and getting to know him and his past better and watching how well he’s progressed through it all and how strong he’s become. I also loved all his romantic moments with lily because they both deserve each other. This book is amazing. Just like the first one. I was considering it to be a solid four-star. Until the last chapter. Wonderful!
