Description

The larger illustration of the spider weaving a web on her hat shows how highly skilled she can be with a pencil. Learning that she does belong there, even though she is different from everyone else, is a great relief to the Littlest Witch. This is an ideal book for anyone just gaining confidence in their reading and looking for a first chapter book. Soon, Miss Snarly dismisses her students, but she has Brenda stay after class to tell her how disappointed she is in that she's turning out to be a bad witch. The Littlest Witch is a fun book which will have many middle graders laughing along to the story, characters and the complicated issues that befall our main protagonist the evil Alfonso Terrible.

Her efforts to help other witches with various Halloween preparations were similarly unsuccessful, leaving her feeling very down, until she ran into her friend, Mae the mummy. However, things don't go as planned when she realizes she is still too little to hold onto the broom and perform all of the tricks. When the revolting Asdrubale Tirinnanzi's Great Uncle Sempronio dies, he's convinced that he's finally going to inherit his millions. It is quite similar to the situation that was happening to Mae her mummy friend in the book The Littlest Mummy.

However, it ends up turning the bird into a butterfly, making her realize that it wasn't evil enough. Once you get past the unusual names, there is absolutely nothing to stop young readers getting lost in this funny novel with larger than life characters - I'm not sure when I last met a villain so disgusting! Will Wilma be able to find a way to participate in the broom-flying fun, or is the littlest witch still too little? But Great Uncle Sempronio has one condition: if Asdrubale doesn't marry a witch within a year and a month of Sempronio's death, the fortune will go to someone else.Sybilla is the youngest of seven daughters, and her bright red hair isn’t the only thing that is different about her.

This would appeal better to those interested in seeing what life is like with a big, energetic family, rather than to those looking for an adventurous story full of twists and turns.

An imaginative story based around the entertaining antics of the Zep family, it is certainly relatable for anyone with quirky relatives. I'm so happy I gave it a chance, because not only did I find it superior (from a story-telling perspective) to the other two, but I also rediscovered a long-forgotten favorite from my youth! Most purchases from business sellers are protected by the Consumer Contract Regulations 2013 which give you the right to cancel the purchase within 14 days after the day you receive the item. I would recommend this to fans of Halloween, witches, friendship, and those who are upset about being littler than others.

She floats in water, cannot see her reflection in a mirror and is the only one who can understand their pet parrot. This is a cute book about a witch who wants to win a race to the moon--but there are surprises along the way! As the annual broom race commences, the Littlest Witch is determined to win the cobweb veil, which is the prize for first place. It might not have even been my first reading of it but as soon as I started (re)reading this, I remembered it from the week before that Halloween.a sad pumpkin who wants to be a Jack-o-Lantern, and a bullied young trick-or-treater, the Littlest Witch sacrifices her chance at winning the race, but is given a beautiful reward in consequence. If I’d read it for the first time as an adult, I’d probably have given it only 4 stars, but I’m rating it for my 7 year old self and I do believe it was worth 5 stars at the time. As Halloween approaches and children begin to be surrounded by all things dark and mythical that go bump in the night, why not get them reading this little gem from Catnip Books – The Littlest Witch by Bianca Pitzorno is a delightful little tale that warms the heart. I especially liked the illustrations of the witches flying, and them sitting in a circle with their faces lit up, they are captured perfectly.
