it takes you thru the history of the place quite interestingly, even kids would luv listening to it like a story. The Canterbury Safety Partnership, part of the Government's Safer Streets 4 funding, aims to connect local services, charities, businesses and higher education providers to ensure we are connected and efficiently working together. the breakfast buffet was often missing stuff and the meat replacement (veggie) options were only upon request.

As a Canterbury local, I am indeed a little biased, but even as someone who regularly waxes lyrical about the many restaurants on my doorstep, I’ve raved a little more than usual when it comes to The Goods Shed. We hadn't planned to go here, but were looking for a time filler, wandered into the hospital and were "upsold" a joint ticket.Worth for a quick stop of 10mins perhaps for travellers and can walk around in the main park but not huge amount to see.

I love the Marlow Theatre- I've been to two musical shows and the annual panto in the last six months. Head over St Radigund’s Road into Mill Lane, right into King Street, left into Orange Street, which comes out into Sun Street a few yards from the archway of Christ Church Gate. We were impressed with the sound proofing in the room ( we couldn't hear the very busy road at all) and with the black out curtains. Although the scones tend to be a bit too hard/ dry for my liking (personal preference as I have friends who love them that way), I can wholly recommend their salads! Go west into Castle Row, across Castle Street into Rosemary Lane, then right into Stour Street, a fine little straight-and-narrow valley of town houses bearing north towards the glories of St Peter’s Street and the town’s all-upstaging middle.Fine craftsmen from medieval times to the Tudors and Stuarts have left their mark on Canterbury's streets and thoroughfares, from the pilgrim inns and medieval timber-framed houses to the striking Norman Cathedral in the city centre. Additionally, Westgate Gardens is home to a 200 year-old plane tree and a Victorian Tower House, both of which are interesting attractions in their own right. This will inform the development of resources that raise awareness of such crimes, increase the level of support for victims/survivors and work towards prevention and early intervention. Location was ideal (within walking distance to the town centre) but our room absolutely stank like wet dog.

Stretching from the haunting castle ruins to the high street, the Castle Quarter is home to thriving creative businesses, independent makers, superb coffee and the city’s own brewery, The Foundry. It’s also open later than some other pubs in the area, making it a great place to catch up with friends after a busy day.You can go up a wee crooked winding wooden staircase to the first floor (2nd floor for American Tourists). Get your essentials, and those must have looks, and fuel up on coffee and snacks with the regular open air street traders. Cllr Charlotte Cornell, Cabinet Member for Waste and Recycling, commented: “Well done to everyone involved in getting our city’s streets looking spick and span, from those who helped secure the funding to the crews on the ground doing the hard graft.
