Description

The Switch Lite measures 91.1mm x 208mm x 13.9mm and weighs 275g, compared to the 102mm x 239mm x 13.9mm dimensions and 297g weight of the original Switch. This means the device comes with a smaller LCD touch screen, measuring just 5.5 inches but still providing 1280 x 720 pixels. Unfortunately, Switch Lite does not have in-built rumble of any variety. The HD rumble in your Joy-Con controllers will work just fine with it, but the Switch Lite console itself does not have rumble. *Can I use Switch Lite with Nintendo Labo/Labo VR? Image: Nintendo Original Article (Wed 18th Aug, 2021 14:45 BST): During today's Pokémon Presents video, The Pokémon Company unveiled a brand new Nintendo Switch Lite system inspired by Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl.

So if a 3DS can't play New 3DS games it's no wonder Switch LITE doesn't Switch. Nintendo being Nintendo, nothing new here. Therefore, games like Fortnite, Splatoon 2 and DOOM still have full gyro aiming functionality on Switch Lite. Does the Switch Lite have HD rumble? Remember, it is still possible to play these games on your Lite (except Labo — see below), you'll just need a pair of Joy-Con, something to prop up your Switch Lite and exceptional vision to see what you're doing on that 5.5 inch screen. Only the latter entry on the list above presents truly insurmountable problems (scroll down for more details). This was the first special edition Switch that was available worldwide, and Nintendo really got off to a good start. There are a lot of Pokémon-themed consoles out there (including Switch models), but we'd argue that the Let's Go! edition is one of the best. It's great for people who have lots of opportunities to play outside, and also for anyone who wants to play online or local wireless multiplayer with friends or family who already own a flagship Nintendo Switch console.

Purchase bonuses

There are only a few brands that can be represented by their colours alone. Yellow and red is instantly McDonalds, purple and gold is the Lakers, royal purple is Cadbury chocolate. But red and blue? That's Mario. The ZL and ZR triggers feel perfect and help cement that snug fit. However, the L and R buttons are thinner than on the original Switch. Arguably a bit too thin, as we sometimes found our fingers slipping off them. Both models also allow wireless connectivity, Bluetooth headphones, and MicroSD cards to increase the 32GB internal storage. There are some outliers that are playable on Switch Lite, but might have certain game modes which aren't available without Joy-Con.

A game as wholesome as Animal Crossing: New Horizons deserves an equally-wholesome console to go alongside it, and Nintendo succeeded with a suitably cute and cosy machine. If I had to recommend only one game, it would have to be either Pokémon Sword or Pokémon Shield. These Gen 8 games are the third-highest-selling Pokémon games after Red and Blue and Gold and Silver. Plus, they introduce the Wild Area, sections of the map where Pokémon can be seen walking around in the overworld. If you have a Nintendo Switch Online membership, you can even jump into Max Raid Dens and catch Pokémon with others online.

Dedicated to handheld play

Personally I like the concept of both and I think I will enjoy owning both consoles. The Switch has always been more of a home console that I can easily take to other places as opposed to a handheld that I would want to take with me while I am traveling. I have owned the Vita and 3DS since they released and I also own multiple variations of the 3DS as well as both the new and old Vita consoles. I have enjoyed collecting portable consoles and holding onto them because they aren't particularly expensive, but the problem with the 3DS and Vita is how they are dead old platforms. If Disney Tsum Tsum Festival got a special edition design that wasn't all cutesy, then there would be riots in the streets. Fortunately, Nintendo pulled through on this Japan exclusive. The PowerA Enhanced Wireless Controller for Nintendo Switch is a popular third-party controller that features a fun Pokemon Battle design. The controller has motion controls, advanced gaming buttons, and a wireless connection for a comfortable gaming experience.
