Description

This medicine contains 0.0011g of glucose in each tablet. Patients with rare glucose-galactose malabsorption should not take this medicine. Caution should be advised in patients receiving concomitant medications which could increase the risk of ulceration or bleeding, such as oral corticosteroids, anticoagulants such as warfarin, selective serotonin-reuptake inhibitors or anti-platelet agents such as aspirin (see section 4.5). Place meltlet on the tongue, allow it to dissolve in the mouth before swallowing it. No water is required. Do not chew. Adults and children from 12 years: Take 1 to 2 meltlets initially, then 1 to 2 meltlets every 4 to 6 hours as necessary (maximum 6 meltlets in 24 hours). Do not use in children under 12 years old except on doctor's advice.

Both of these two medicines were taken together to decrease the pain. In a lot of research, it was found that both of these medicines had inflammatory ingredients of high quality. This disturbs the balance of the body, because of which there are a lot of side-effects that people face. It was a small-term solution for instant pain relief and did not do anything for a permanent cure. Nurofen Meltlets are discontinued in Britain Renal tubular acidosis and hypokalaemia may occur following acute overdose and in patients taking ibuprofen products over long periods at high doses (typically greater than 4 weeks), including doses exceeding the recommended daily dose. For arthritic pain: The dosage range is from 0.9 to 2.4 g per day. The usual dose is 400 mg, 3-4 times per day, preferably after food. The dose may be raised to a maximum of 2.4 g daily depending on the severity of symptom at the time of initiating drug therapy or as patients fail to respond. After a satisfactory response has been achieved the patients dose should be reviewed and adjusted as required and tapered gradually. There is limited evidence that drugs which inhibit cyclooxygenase/prostaglandin synthesis may cause impairment of female fertility by an effect on ovulation. This is reversible upon withdrawal of treatment. The speed of absorption of paracetamol may be increased by metoclopramide or domperidone and absorption reduced by cholestyramine.

What is Nurofen Meltlets used for?

Antihypertensives and diuretics: since NSAIDs may diminish the effects of these drugs. In some patients with compromised renal function (e.g. dehydrated patients or elderly patients with compromised renal function) the co-administration of an ACE inhibitor or Angiotensin II antagonist and agents that inhibit cyclo-oxygenase may result in further deterioration of renal function, including possible acute renal failure, which is usually reversible. These interactions should be considered in patients taking a coxib concomitantly with ACE inhibitors or angiotensin II antagonists. Therefore, the combination should be administered with caution, especially in the elderly. Patients should be adequately hydrated and consideration should be given to monitoring of renal function after initiation of concomitant therapy, and periodically thereafter. Diuretics can increase the risk of nephrotoxicity of NSAIDs. Do not give this medicine to your child for more than 3 days without speaking to your doctor or pharmacist

The Britain government announced that the medicine would be taken off the shelves and would no longer be sold in the market. Paracetamol is rapidly and almost completely absorbed from the gastro-intestinal tract. Peak plasma concentrations are reached 30-90 minutes post dose. The concurrent use of aspirin or nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) and ethanol may lead to gastrointestinal (GI) blood loss.
