AFTER a 10-year wait, Beckford Stores now has the National Lottery.
Bredon Hill residents no longer have to travel miles to get their tickets and scratchcards.
Beckford Stores proprietor Sally Stringer said: “TheLottery was simply not available to small rural shops in the past, but now accessibility has changed and the criteria is similar to access to the Post Office, hence how it has arrived.
“We are really chuffed to be involved with the Lottery and it will help us to continue to serve our local community and enable residents to save money in fuel when buying their tickets and scratchcards.
“We also do the Health Lottery and were chosen to do that as we are well situated on a radial route around the hill and have had several winners including two for £500!”
