A school will create an “outdoor classroom with a twist” thanks to a £10,000 lottery grant.
Pupils from Ashton-under-Hill First School will soon be enjoying an ‘Imaginarium’ thanks to the grant from the Big Lottery and money raised by parents.
Headteacher Bryony Baynes said: “It will have a storytelling chair, a board for people to write on and leading up to it there will be crazy paving with discovery zones so there might be a nature area or an area with sculptures.
“Teachers can use it for nature studies or to spark creativity in poetry or for the children to pretend they are Vikings going on a journey.”
Work on the project is expected to start this summer.
